It is located on the banks of Brahmaputra river in Jamalpur Sadar upazila town and on the banks of Brahmaputra river next to Jamalpur Sadar police station. Tomb of Hazrat Shah Jamal (R :), a pious man of this region. It has a beautiful old mosque in addition to the cemetery. Here five prayers are performed. Shrine of Hazrat Shah Jamal (ra) adjacent to Chapatli Ghat in Jamalpur Sadar. 1586 AD: During the reign of Emperor Akbar, Hazrat Shah Jamal (ra) came to this region to preach the religion. This Sufi saint came from Yemen in the far Middle East and settled on the banks of the fast flowing Brahmaputra river. Hazrat Shah Jamal (R :) was a Pir Kamel man. Word of his spiritual wisdom and miraculous powers reached the Mughal court in Delhi. At that time King Akbar wished to bear the khankar expenses of Hazrat Shah Jamal (ra) and sent certificates of Pirpal donation to several parganas under Singhjani. This alluring proposal was rejected by the Sufi saint Hazrat Shah Jamal (ra) in contempt.Later, the area was named Jamalpur after him. Every year devotees gather here to celebrate Urs. Nowadays it is made in modern construction style. Every day innumerable devotees come here to pay obeisance to Mann and for various purposes.
