Language and culture

Language:

Like other parts of the country, Jamalpur also has different regional languages. In Jamalpur Sadar, the language style and pronunciation of the people of different unions are different. For example, a regional language of Jamalpur can be mentioned: "Late of Kya, Dandei Bazar Thane Ghuira Amu.", "You don't go. Let's go."

Folk culture:

Culture carries the basic identity of a nation. Its scope is also huge and wide. Culture is the all-encompassing talent of life. Its speed is a lot like a flowing river. According to the literary Motahar Hossain Chowdhury, "Culture means to live in a beautiful way, in a strange way, in a great way." Culture is built around people's lives. In other words, culture is what reforms, drives, or through which life revolves. Jamalpur Sadar Upazila is rich in folk culture. Bengal's own music is nurtured by people in various fields such as Jari-Sari, Bhatiali, Dhua, Baromasi, Dehatattva, Adhyatmik etc. Lately, the strong wave of sky culture has been quite mature in the area. There is an art academy in the upazila headquarters. Here dance, song and drama are practiced. Also various cultural groups teach dance songs on private initiative. Feminine songs are usually sung in the countryside on the occasion of marriage. During the wedding, the bride and groom's spouses celebrate with each event. The pre-wedding of the bride and groom, bathing, the bride's friends of the bridegroom's arrival sing bibag music. Fairs are held on the occasion of various Hindu festivals. A huge eighth fair was held at Jamalpur Sadar on the occasion of Barani bath. In the last decade also Sonavan, Gazikalu, Chambavati Chayful Mulk, Badiuzzaman books were recited.
